Based in Battersea Studios on Silverthorne Road, Le Bureau first opened its doors over a decade ago – providing desks, meeting rooms and support facilities to small local businesses in a beautifully designed space. Co-working was a novel concept back then, so Le Bureau cautiously opened up with 45 desks. Those filled quickly and encouraged them to double in size to 90 desks – and again those extra desks were taken up very quickly. So in 2014, Le Bureau more than doubled their space in Battersea Studios and now provide 220 desks to more than 90 small businesses. Some of the members have been with Le Bureau from the outset, and some have just joined. Some are sole traders, some are teams of 6-8. All are thriving local small businesses. All chose Le Bureau because of the facilities provided by them – but stay because of the community they host. Le Bureau host architects, recruiters, web designers, graphic designers, PR agencies, financiers, journalists, events managers, and much much more – a really diverse and interesting collection of energetic small businesses. The social and professional interactions help create a wonderful vibe. Le Bureau try to support this by hosting regular events for members – ranging from the "professional" with clinics on topics such as HR, Law and more, to the purely social such as wine tastings, the Christmas Party or the summer Sports Day. Le Bureau have a low fixed monthly charge per desk – £343 for a standard and £429 for a large – and absolutely NO extra charges. (High speed broadband, use of meeting rooms, printing, photocopying, visitor parking, teas and coffees – they are all included in the fixed monthly charge per desk.) Easy, no hassle sign up – no contract, no deposit, simply pay monthly in advance. So any potential new Member will know the costs they face with certainty. And the obligations they are exposing themselves to are minimal.
I've worked in a few coworking spaces and Le Bureau gets the small details right. Decent very large secure pedestals, significantly larger than average desks and a great atmosphere, staff and mix of businesses. I wish more coworking spaces were like this one.
We have been at Le Bureau since November 2016 and have been able to grow and shrink with our business by taking on more desks and getting freelancers set up with ease - the team here are very friendly and it does feel like a big family where everyone is trying to work hard and there are social events where we can let our hair down - all organized and subsidised by Le Bureau. The way to book meeting rooms is easy - at no extra cost, also the printing (even in colour!) is included. You can get your post delivered here and reception is 24hrs - so you never miss a parcel. We could find a cheaper place, but the pro's out way this, I'm not tied in to a lease, I don't need to sort out a network, internet, or fix things. We'll be here for at least another year, thanks Guys you are great!
We run our growing, energetic PR agency Milk & Honey from here and love it! We started the business at the beginning of the year and have already expanded to three desks. The whole offer is so simple, super flexible so easy to budget for and importantly a happy environment. The meeting rooms are fab, easy to book and like the stationery, afternoon biccies and Friday cheese and cake - all included.
I really like being a member of this lively and unique place. The location and facilities are great and the team at Le Bureau is always very friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommend this place to everyone who is looking for co working space in south west London.
Was really disappointed... I urgently needed a desk for 6 plus weeks. I explained my situation and asked about the basic desk, costs what was included and so on. Said I would visit... once I was there they confirmed they only had the more expensive desk. Was really unhappy as I had to negotiate a contract to cover this extra business expense due to having to move office because of building works. Also not a 5 minute walk from Clapham high common it's is closer to 15... please be clearer when dealing with potential clients.
Mindspace, has announced that it will be opening its second property in London at 9 Appold Street, Broadgate Quarter in Shoreditch. The new location will spread over two floors over 40,500 sq ft accommodating 900 new members including startups.
